Crank, knit and darn

Our crafternoon yesterday was very productive. Tina and I could have stayed for many more hours sipping on our cups of tea whilst having a yarn and knitting.
Tina really got the hang of Addi - our ciruclar knitting machine - by the end of the day. So much so she wants to come back again next week for some more. It is rather meditative, cranking Addi's handle and watching the wool (lovely donated balls of green) feed into the loop and become a knitted tube before your eyes.
It will make a lovely plant piece for the garden.
Before Tina arrived Helen popped in and darned of some of our blue knitted pieces. I was very pleased that someone took up the task of picking up those dropped stitches.
Helen graciously got to work and fixed them all up very nicely I must say.
She too wants to come back next week and I plan to get her started on measuring up the stools and making covers for them. Helen does prefer a stitch to a knit.
I hope some more of you can join us next Sunday.
Yours in wool until the next knit
Mrs Polly Ester
