Today went very well at Hut 22. We had a plethora of guests which was wonderful.
Mrs Polly Mer and I arrived in Axl to our first guest who was aready there and waiting for us! We were very pleased to see David. It's the first time he's visited our crafternoons and he is keen to get involved with some netting. His previous experience making practice golf netting will no doubt come in very handy.
Tina turned up soon after and very kindly went and bought Mrs Polly Mer and I a lovely cup of coffee from the market stall. It was such a lovely sunny day it was good that Tina got out in the sunshine for a vitamin D hit. She then returned and continued cranking out green knitting that turned into a lovely thneed that fitted Mrs Polly Mer perfectly.
After a photoshoot with Wanda and a few other accessories, Mrs Polly Mer defrocked and continued cranking out a lovely piece of blue.
Matty also joined us and we had a bit of a show and tell, which as you can imagine was good fun. He then settled into sewing some knitted squares together to make a seat for one of the chairs. I think sewing lovely coloured squares together was quite therapeutic for him, having been out til 4 am!
Milly and Neoli also joined us and got to work on a sea snake and some seaweed. Sally the sea snake was born and also had a photo shoot. Lucky seaweed was Sally's preferred meal as she had plenty to eat from Neoli's knitted lengths.
And myself, I worked on a purple and orange knitted donation that I am turning into a sting ray. It's coming together quite nicely. I'm looking forward to finsihing it next week and finding out what it's name is.
happy knitting
Mrs Polly Ester
